A “Beautiful Mistake / Panther Sex”
AA “I Said Alright / Runaway Baby”
DEATH POP RECORDS DP662
RELEASED 2009
Recorded in THE PSYCHEDELIC
CONCENTRATION CAMP
Produced/engineered INNES CROOK
THE VINYL STITCHES hail from a subterranean swamp deep in the heart of London. These guys don’t have Dads, instead they have been raised, informed and drawn together by a shared love of trash culture, B-movies, vintage pedals, 50’s rock’n’roll and 60’s garage beat. They play scuffed-up and lo-fi bone rattlers, raw ‘n’ razor sharp, decadently damaged three chord spiked blues riffola
Their Limited edition EP, which is their first and only release to date, has already sold 500 copies! Selling as far a field as Australia and Japan. It has been described as “A howling slab of serious smoked and wasted Link Wray styled shade-adorned primal prowl, so dirty it literally slides and slithers from the grooves and so salaciously sassy that you have the unerring urge to do bad things. Essential!”
Raw, rough, psychedelic and infinitely catchy!
RIPPLE EFFECT
A primitive rock band that you simply can’t ignore. THE VINYL STITCHES. This gang has fun on their minds, fuzz in their lustful hearts. The Stitches recreate that time when young Americans came out of their sleepy towns, high on illicit substances, and set about changing the world with the 4/4 beat. Employing a heady mix of The Stooges,13th Floor Elevators, and The Velvet Underground they create an orgy of foot-stomping noise to soundtrack an imaginary psych-ploitation film!!
SHINDIG! Magazine
The Vinyl Stitches make an almighty garage psych racket that I can only describe as being like the best of the Stooges and Sonics. Fuzzy guitars, ear piercing vocals, stomping drums and more energy than an extremely hyperactive child.
DONE FOR THE DAY
TVS’s whiskey-drenched, bluesy
rock ‘n’ roll.
Time Out
With the sound and look of tripped-out beatniks, the two-guy one-girl trio bring
to mind Velvet Underground, Iggy Pop
and early Stones.Their gigs are an interesting time-travelling romp underpinned by scuffed-up, raw, low-fi bone rattling, conjuring up an age when winklepickers, pudding-bowl haircuts, polo necks and oversized sunglasses ruled.
The Cornwall HErald Express
Effortlessly cool garage rockers The Vinyl Stitches are not only the best looking
band in London, with a sound that is like The Standells reborn as avenging
demons, they are also the most dangerous.

Infrasons
